Thinking about adding Silver Streaks to my watch list- a few questions first

I am still looking for my trailer - and have looked a number of vintage AS and Argosys, and a few Avions, but have yet to find the right mix of condition, cost to repair, time to repair and cost to purchase. Lots of variables, and lots of spreadsheets mostly dealing with costs.

Lately I have been focused on looking for Avions from the early 60s 24 feet and under (H-24s not the H-25s due to weight).

I have recently seen a few Silver Streaks nearby, some in the size range that I'm thinking about, some are gutted and some are original.

Before I add Silver Streaks to the list of RVs I should take a look at if reasonably nearby, I was hoping to get a better understanding on a few things.

It all starts in floor for me - perhaps from reading too many AS threads about the floor being a structural element and rot, particularly in the back by the bath and in the front by the windows causing all sorts of issues. My first question is this - I "think" that the floor is not a structural element on the Silver Streaks, but it is sandwiched between the shell and the frame by a C channel. If I'm looking to get a trailer up and running for a few years, how much focus must be made to some but not a ton of rot in a Silver Streak? Is there a benefit to "skinning" it over with some 1/2 ply, or is that putting lipstick on a pig? Once the source of moisture is addressed, can a Silver Streak live a happy life with some miles every year with a few spots of rot?

I'm also wondering how difficult it would be to retrofit a Silver Streak with AC. Let's assume I will be upgrading the electrical set up with a new converter and fuse box. I'm more interested in the structural issues about cutting into the ceiling, whether there are areas that make sense both for support and for weight distribution, or if I will need to remove interior skin and insulation and fabricate some additional supports? Again, I'm trying to get a handle on how big of a job I'd be facing if I get a unit with AC in place?

Thanks
