The one that got away
I saw this on Craigslist a few weeks ago, and since I was going to be driving through Charlotte in a couple of days, I thought.. I'll just wait and check it out on the way up. There were no pictures posted and a very brief description; SiteLocationListingDateDescriptionPrice
craigslistcharlotte2010-11-21 04:21:01 Vintage 69 Streamline Prince$3000
Well, the next day, the listing was off of Craigslist and I thought, Oh well, no big deal... until today, when I found it on ebay and saw what my hesitation caused me to miss. Vintage 1969 18ft STREAMLINE PRINCE Travel Trailer - eBay (item 180603426442 end time Jan-10-11 21:48:07 PST)

Have you seen his ads before? The 3000 is bogus the 14000 is to high. It all fits.

The buy it now price is too high for me. I was thinking that someone picked up a diamond in the rough, cleaned it up and listed it on ebay. The listings were a month apart.

I do believe that a South Carolina to Northern California round trip would cost me more than the trailer! 12mpg highway out, 9 mpg towing back... maybe another gem will pop up closer to home.

That Streamline is a keeper. Rarely see one as nice even yearly. The price may be high but the rarity of size and apparent condition make it one-of-a-kind. If nothing else the sheen of the anodized makes it desirable.
Now if only I could find a '73 Emperor that nice . . . .

I think its a 31', not 27' anyway.... Just think of the adventure you would have travelling across this great county of ours! I am sure other streamer's between your house and California would find a free place for you to stay overnite in your long trip home. Or..... you could find "The One" close to where you live. I had someone tell me that you need to look at 20 trailers before you buy. Sometimes I wish I would have listened to that person! Good Luck in your search, Trex

Arrowstream, I am in Ga. and if you think you might have an interest in this trailer, PM me or send an email to this address: levonregister@hotmail.com
Just put trailer in the title area so I don't delete.
Best Regards,
Levon

There has been a 17 or 19 ft Tandem, in very nice shape, on CL Seattle a few times this past fall. It looks very very nice. Haven't seen it for a while so it may have sold. It was under 10k if I remember right. You could post a "wanted" and see what comes up, in your area or as far out as you are willing to drive for one.

I found a post on another website that took offense to my assumption that the one owner, 1969, 19 foot Streamline Prince for sale in Charlotte, NC on Craigslist may have been the one owner, 1969, 19 foot Streamline Prince for sale in Charlotte, NC on EBay five weeks later. Sorry about that.
He even quoted some Einstein on me. My favorite Einstein quote is from Joe Theismann: "A genius is somebody like Norman Einstein"
