Streamline Subfloor Question.

Hi All! I am very excited to be going to look at a 72 Duchess tomorrow that looks lovely from what I have seen so far.

I have a question about the subfloor of the Streamlines. As I assume its likely given our Pacific Northwest location, that I will need to replace part , if not all of it.

What I would like to know is the process is the same as with an Airstream? Will I need to lift the entire shell off as you do with Airstream, or is it possible to leave the shell on during the replacement process?

Any known issues I should look out for during my inspection tomorrow?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Maggie

You might get lucky, our floor is nice and solid thanks to being stored indoors.

Check out Tom Paterson's site, one of the brochures details the construction. I think the vinyl goes right under the walls so I assume the subfloor does too. But I'm not sure how you go about replacing it

Check that all systems work obviously and if you cant test it assume it doesn't work. I thought we only had one leaky toilet valve to replace. Turns out it all froze at least once and I'm now replacing all the plumbing which isn't actually that hard.

Good luck! We love ours so far.
