Have a look at the www.tompatterson.com site as a start.

The Silver Streak message board may be of help.

1959 Streamline serial numbers

My 1959 streamline 20 footer was completed and inspected in sept. of 1958. The serial # is 4031. Model # is X20. I have owned this trailer for 6 years. I have only seen one other like mine. It's serial number is 4034. This model replaced the 1957-58 19 footer, and was only made for 1 year. I've had several collectors looking for this model, with no success. I've seen the larger 1959 models and have found that the first 2 numbers are the model number. So the 19 footer was #10** The next size, the 24 footer was #20** ( 2nd model built ) the third size the 29 footer was 30** (3rd model built ) Mine being the 4th model built was # 40**, which replaced the 19 footer. I'm not sure about the 3rd number in the serial number. ( Maybe floor plan ) last number would be the number off the production line. I'm not real sure if i have this correct .I know that they didn't start naming them until the 60's. I'm pretty sure that this was the first 20ft made, but i need more serial numbers. I'm only the second owner , and this trailer is in mint original condition. Thanks
