Since spring will soon be here we have dragged the Streamline out of her winter storage for a few days to get a few updates done.
First up is repalcing the rusty fresh water tank with a new plastic tank and on demand pump. I'm looking at this tank:
Amazon.com: Barker Manufacturing Company 11916 20 Gal. Water Tank Kit: Automotive
plus a Shureflow pump and strainer. The plumbing shouldn't be too bad as the rest of the trailer is already plumbed with PEX, and that tank looks to be close to the same size as the existing tank.
So I can hopefully keep the external fill port and just tap into the lines at the back of the trailer as it does today.
Anybody been down this road and have any tips before I dive in? I have redone all the lines with PEX and replaced the hot water tank so my plumbing knowledge is pretty good. Running a
12V line for the pump might be the hardest part.
