Just picked up this 1967 Globetrotter 20', and the guy I bought it from had done some work to remove the blue stripe that the person he bought it from 10 years ago sold it with Whoever put this on did a pretty good job. It looks professionally done to me, which raises the question, is there any way this could be a factory job? I kind of doubt it, but cannot fathom why some PO would go through the trouble?
A mid 70's Excella comes to mind. I wonder if a previous owner liked the look of the Excella's blue belt and wanted his Globetrotter to look that way???

It might be a PO's inside joke.
I've never seen a blue strip on trailers from the '60s.
The Excella line didn't come out until the early '70s
A joke, modernization... who can tell.
There are a couple of fun threads here on what the POs have done to their trailers that baffle the current owners.
