You guys asked, so here you go (I hope; I've never tried to insert an image here before): a smattering of the many photos I took as "before" shots of my 1983 "Silver Streak Supreme Luxury Liner".
I've started cleaning it out, and once I'm done with that, will start living in it. I want to get a feel for it before I start on any harebrained projects. Even though the carpet is newish, for example, I would prefer a hardwood floor ... or something non-carpet, at any rate.
Always good to see another S/S! I don't see anything that "jumps out" (possible problem) just note some differences between ours. Mine has some more overhead cabinets in the front, and we have the refer mounted over the starboard wheelwell with a dinette "area" forward of that to the door (drop table and two chairs).
The exterior looks very good from what I can see, that is always a concern for this brand of trailer as repairing them is not so simple as it is with A/S.
Mine is coming home from storage this week or next, so I'll get some pics up as well.
Thanks, everyone! Been working in it a bit today ... lots to clean.

When I was taking pictures to document its current condition, I saw two smallish areas of damage to the exterior, in the underbelly. One is a puncture-type wound, right rear; the other is an area that looks to be wear or something (but how?) at the left front, near the area where two pieces join up at the beginning of the flat part. There's also a rip in the front window cover, but it's on the inside and is covered by the wraparound covers that protect the plexiglass windows, when they're snapped into their storage space. I bet it isn't very easy to find that gold stuff ...

Well, I'd say you have a jem there, Sunni. Assuming you don't find a lot of nasty stuff hiding under the skin, it doesn't look like there's much to do to that beauty.
Thanks again, everyone. So far, in all my pokings into its recesses, I'm mostly finding dirt, and not even a lot of that, considering its age. I'm also 15 Mexican pesos and $0.26 richer.
There's a fair amount of peeling on the wood paneling. I haven't decided how I'm going to fix that. The wood seems of decent quality, so I'm considering sanding off the loose stuff, using a gripping primer, and then painting over it. Someone else with a Silver Streak is finishing up this project and reported good success.
So many things to think about ... and to clean! Back to it I go!
