OKAY, I. D. Experts:

I just saw an Airstream-like rig go by the sandwhich shop while I was getting lunch. It was only about 12' to 14' long and had a door in the back. It appeared to be a sixties or earlier vintage. There was a nameplate above the door but it went by so fast I couldn't make it out. It looked like an airstream plate but I don't think it said Airstream on it.

Any ideas what I just saw?

Follow-up:
Safari62 sent me to '55 airlite's profile page, and I saw he drives a white SUV, which is what I saw pulling this little trailer. I sent '55 airlite a PM and lo and behold, it was him! I went over and saw it and got some pictures for everyone. It was being polished at the time...

Thanks for letting me take the pics Michael,

one cute trailer!

Nice detective work.... Viking!

Another aluminum gumshoe confirms that not all round ended aluminum trailers are streamin'.

Thanks for the photos.

Another note about this: the guys at Universal Polishing in Hayward are not planning to continue offering polishing to travel trailer owners. They probably would still do them for the right price but they apparently let everyone talk them down to $100/hr from their standard shop rate of $150.00 and now they are burned out on them.
All of you do-it-yourselfers out there should keep this in mind as you polish: I'm saving $150.00 every hour I spend polishing. How can I afford not to polish it?
