No longer 'Currently Looking'

Well,

Looks like I'll have to be changing my description from 'Currently Looking' to Vintage Kin.

Just bought this 70 year old Spartan Manor 25. Should be an interesting project!!! Interior was removed many years ago. Same owner for the last 28 years. Got a good look at the bones......which seem fine except for a bit of surface rust. It should clean up really well!!! Mostly all is in tact with the exception of a bit of glass and the plastic front corner windows. Curved Lexan here we come!!!

I'll try to keep you posted on the progress........

Sweet! I too switch from "currently looking" to proud owner--six days ago! It's fun.

I LOVE the Spartans.

There is a Spartan trailer in Mississippi that needs to be rescued.
You up for a really long road trip?

Nice find! We have a '46 Spartan too. I was told by another Spartan owner that '46 is the only year with square corners on the front window and that they're hard to keep water tight. I haven't got around to doing anything with ours yet.

Ours too has damage to the front corner panels. I think with the short tongue they must have been prone to jackknifing.

This one has a double I beam re-inforcement down the center of the frame and a very long, extended tongue, which will be replaced soon with a more traditional A-frame type. Interesting...but a bit 'bizarre'.

The long....S-L-O-W process begins tomorrow!!!

This is ours. The front tongue is a-frame, but shorter than most trailers.

As a lurker of six months on this forum, I have become an avid reader of the wisdom Lewster provides. Very humbly and very selfishly, I (we?) hope that your restoration efforts don't keep you from commenting and posting your wisdom as time and topics of interest to you allow.
