Newbie & New Blog. Frame off on a '67 Streamline Duchess

Bought a 'minor' remodel project that has turned into a MAJOR one I see from reading the forums that I'm not the only one. Thanks so much to everyone that has shared so much knowledge in this forum! & thanks to those who host and organize it. In the spirit of pay back/forward, here's the start of my blog. Worth noting that I never drilled a rivet before starting this project so think of it more as a how I did it rather than an expert how-to.

Cheers to all.

Do you think there would have been any way to replace all the subfloor WITHOUT removing the c-channel? *crosses fingers*
Thanks!

Sorry but no. On my Streamline, the bellypan wraps up around the outside of the 'C' channel and is crimped and riveted through the channel. Also, the screws & bolts were rusted to brackets and channel. It was a real mess. I don't think it would have been possible on my streamline but I think airstreams are constructed differently and have seen where folks have figured out how..

have a question? how does one post a question on this forum?
I have a 23 signature and would like to upgrade to a 27 t front bedroom . parking space is the problem/ I need the measurement fron the back wheel about curb height to the very end of the bumper. can anyone who has a 27 ft, provide me as close as possible that measurement? the measurement on the 23 is appr. 79 inches
thanks

Wow what an amazing project! Lots of work, but like you say now you can customize it for your family! Good luck!
