Question never seen before

I am looking at a 50s Airstream with full size door at the very back of the trailer.
The current owner doesnt know anything about the trailer. It appears to be a
30ft with rear twins and center bath. It is obviously factory. ( No patchwork or extra seems). The rear door is located between the rear beds and steps out onto the rear bumper. Let me know if you have any info
Thanks

There were a number of prominent manufacturers in business in the 50's and Airstream made some specialty rigs from what I understand but photographs would help. A picture really is worth a thousand words in this instance.

Regards,

Kevin

Very interesting; this is the first time I have heard of an Airstream with a door at the back of the trailer. I know Airstream manufactured some Airstreams with two doors but they both were on the side.

Pictures?

This may be the modified one that was for sale in the Valley for several years. It is not a factory modification.

I believe that it was built his way. No signs of alterations.

Built That Way...

and a very rare find I believe.
They also built some with the door over the tongue.
PM forums member Fire Cold well for specifics at 47Weewind.
