Rog-
Thanks for the advice. I agree with your sentiment. Our restoration will surely be considered "low-budget." Just want to make sure it is serviceable, and capture the original flavor if possible in the process. My wife and I will not be hunting for exact original parts, just avoiding the out-of-character repairs(like LED taillamps.)
By the way, registering the old girl brought up the previous owner's info, and the Massachusetts registry has the trailer as a 1965, rather than a 1964. I guess the previous owner was mistaken.
Can't wait to try her out on the road!

Titles are often when licesced or when sold rather than when manufactured. Often times they're just plain wrong. If there's a manufacturers plate/plaque on the frame somewhere that's about the only way to know. I'm sure that manufacturerers like PlayMor made constant changes through out the year and many frames were probably started/purchased one year and completed/sold the next.

Play-Mor started business in 1964 and may have labeled all of their trailers that year as 1965, just as the car makers do.
I put my '69 13' up for sale 2 days ago but I'm having second thoughts. I could put the little rascal in very good condition for just a couple hundred dollars and some elbow grease. I was going to power wash it before I put the "for sale" signs on it but my washer was on the fritz.
It isn't an Airstream and there isn't room to swing a cat around in it but it's just so danged little and cute. According to the title, it only weighs 1300 lbs. I can't decide if I'm undecided or not about keeping it.
BTW, louaxtjr, where are those pics you promised? We trailer lugnuts love to see photos, even if they are SOB's.

Thanks for the info. Certainly explains the possible reasons for the inconsistencies in the information I have found so far.
Rog-
Here (at long last ) are a few pictures. Hoping to have it road-worthy later this year. I already have a laundry list of things to do. Luckily, most are labor-intensive and do not require much monetary investment. I've also included a few scans of brochures Play-Mor was kind enough to provide.

Thanks for the pics, Lou, and how very nice of Play-Mor to provide thr brochures. I'd have to say that you snagged a really good deal in that tiny piece of Americana. Happy trails!

Thanks, I'll keep you posted. My wife Terry has agreed to play seamstress, so tonight we picked up some fabric to recreate the groovy curtains in the brochure. Hope to have updates soon!

I just stumbled and fell on this little camper. I have one exactly like it in storage. I started to revamp it and then for 10 years stopped the project. I will be going tomorrow to find out what brand I have. I have the title and it says it is a 75 play mor trailer weighing 3000 pounds. It is 13 feet long. My camper is a dead ringer for your camper. I live in Denver PA.

Sheila,
My 1964 or 65 (still trying to figure that out) Playmor is a model 140, but was re-vamped by the previous owner(s). Mine weighs about 1000 pounds, so I doubt yours is 3000. It may be that is the maximum weight it is titled at legally but not really an indication of actual weight. Mine had leakage that started to show through the inner panneling, so I am now in the process of rebuilding everything. Just finished repairing the frame and sealing the shell yesterday. Now on to the interior!
Any photos you might have would be appreciated, as I have not made final decisions on the cabinetry, and the Playmor photo is small and only from one angle. Good luck with yours!

1968 Play-Mor
Hi-
I am new to this forum but wanted to contact you because I recently bought a travel trailer just like yours. If you email Play-Mor, they will help you identify the details. Although my title says the trailer is a 1975, the serial number on the trailer hitch verifies the year, make, and model number. Mine is actually a 1968 and I am in the process of remodeling/restoring it. Since there is some water damage around the front seams of my trailer (and all of the interior is painted bright green), I am pretty much replacing the paneling, flooring, and ceiling. I am, however, staying true to the original layout and rebuilding the cabinet, table booths, and divan as they were.
I hope your trailer is progressing. I would be interested in an update if you have anything new to pass along. I am hoping that my Play-Mor is ready for use by this spring so I can test her out.
Good luck!

I hope you receive as much enjoyment from your little PlayMor as my wife and I have from ours. We completed our renovation a few years ago. Although we modified the layout slightly, we tried to keep things looking like it might have been built.
The interiot paneling was a project, but the greatest difficulty was the wall framing repairs, as the roof curvature had to be perfect for the skin to reattach correctly.
We now have a recently acquired Tradewind LandYacht we are refurbishing for a lengthy trip next year. The PlayMor has been sold to a friend.
My apologies to everyone for not updating. I've included a few pictures anyway.

I’ll probably just resell it after I give it a thorough cleaning. The owner hasn’t found the title yet (may have to apply for a lost title) and doesn’t know the year but it appears to be older than the 1972 13’ Play-Mor which sold on eBay yesterday (item #130138974579).
Does anyone else have one of these little Play-Mor trailers? The company is still in business but no longer makes these little ones.
