max weight of a Spartanette 24?

To register my trailer, I need the maximum, fully loaded weight of my Spartanette 24. I cannot find this info anywhere, all I see is the empty weight...
Thanks!

"Max weight"? Boy, that's a tough one...must be a Canadian thing, I've never heard of that. You might look on the axle for a plate...but being a vintage trailer, it may not have one.

You could load up the trailer and take it to a scale...but I'm sure that's not what they are looking for.

You might have better luck asking on a Spartan-specific site - I don't think there are very many owners here to respond to that kind of technical trailer-specific question. I do know there is a Facebook page of Spartanette owners - you may want to check-in there too as well as with TinCanTourists.

This might help too: Spartan Production Information

i have a royal spartanette. the 'max weight' isnt provided anywhere. you'll have to guess. i'd say add 1000# to the dry weight. i doubt you'll go over without tanks, etc.

Thanks guys, that is what I thought, I have been on various sites (the Spartan Facebook page for instance) and no one has ever heard of a max weight for such an old trailer, so I figured I would try here, there is a lot of knowledge here!... I even have a copy of the owner's manual and nothing...
It is not a Canadian thing, by the way, we have moved to France and taken the Spartanette with us. Here, you add up the max weight of car and trailer and above a certain weight, you need a different driver's licence.
I guess I will give them a number that will let me drive with the regular, "normal" licence...
