Cute!

Roothawg,

Just saw the blog and additional photos - love the inside. I love those vintage interiors, and your have a great one. Looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you... Know all about that and good luck what you find under that floor when you start to replace the rotten wood. That can be very scary.

Hang in there,
Tina

Say, that's a honey of a trailer. Looks like you have a couple of the original wood furniture units, the kitchenette and the hot water heater cabinet. I wonder what it looked like new?

And yes, with a 12-gallon WH, I don't think you'll need much of a furnace!

It was pretty much in tact and unmolested. That was one of our search requirements when looking for a project. We'll get there, it just takes a while.

Really? Please post pictures. You are the first person I have ever met with another one.

I am posting my progress to a blog. I am new to this whole blogging deal, but there are some interesting pics on it.

I have just a few in my intro post here: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f368...ado-73463.html

We are in the process of changing the flooring from the black and white vinyl tile to Allure Ultra Vinyl Plank. I'll post pictures and how the process went as soon as we are done. I do need to add some pictures of the trailer to my profile....I get lazy about that :-)

Lori, they are made by the same company. Mine is also an Avalair from Baroda, Michigan. As far as the story about the Avalair being made for 2 years, I think they were manufactured for about 10 years. I am still searching for information on the company though.

Oh I didn't realize that your trailer was made in Baroda too, I was thinking it was made in Texas but see that's just where you purchased it. Interesting....then they must be the same company. They changed the look a fair amount between whatever model mine is and the Mark II. Keep me posted if you find anymore out about them!

I contacted the Baroda Michigan Chamber of Commerce and they are researching the Avalair records. I wouldn't think it would be that hard, but apparently someone must have asked before, because she knew exactly what I was talking about. It appears to be a town of approx. 800-900 people.

Baroda is a very small little town in Southwest Michigan. 800 - 900 people is about right. It's a blink and you'll miss it kinda place. There used to be a plethora of tool & dye shops there, but they're going extinct. Our friends owned an Avalair. Sold it a few years ago. I know they contacted the Chamber of Commerce when they first bought it. Bardoa is not far from Benton Harbor, which is where Avion was built. Growing up in that area, it was not unusual to see silver trailers.
