From the Wonder-Bread loaf shape, battery box and Doughboy rear vent, Its definatly an Avion.
Patina and vent placements, would sugest a 1963-1965 Sportsman 18'.
Can't polish it, its anodized. But definatly worth dragging home and cleaning up.
I might even bet a 6 pack of Henry Wienhart's that the floor is still good.
Many thanks to all who have helped solve the puzzle.
The second riddle....I initially called it a Navion, which was an aircraft company.
I wonder if Navion and Avion were related
Keep Smiling...

No, the Navion was a post-WW II commercial offering of North American Aviation (hence the name "Navion"). NA sold the design to Ryan a couple of years later. Somebody else later manufactured the design.
Don't bet on the floor of an Avion being good. They leak too. However, you can bet for sure, with greased wheel bearings, the AXLE is still good.
I should point out that Henry Wienharts is fairly cheap beer
True on the axles, its hard to go wrong with less than 9 moving parts. And thats counting the wheel bearings.
All the bearings and electric brake parts where available off the shelf when I refurbished mine.
I would be tempted to drive down to Texas and drag it back myself, but Im getting warning shots from the better half indicating that might not be such a wise idea.

Thanks, Silverleeper, for the link to the Avion history site.
Was surprised to see that one of the founding brothers towed an Airstream with a Packard.
Sure wish I could find a picture of the combination.
I have seen two pictures of '30s Packards towing Airstreams.
