That's one of the trailers on my short list!

Does my son really need to go to college...............

Just for fun, I increased the bid a grand. I'm sure it is no where near reserve.

How about a contest? Closest to ending bid price wins a pizza?

I guess $18,900.

I've already assumed that! I was more considering how much this first auction will go up to.

I'll guess $20,000 - but I do this with not the slightest idea of it's percieved value.

I wonder if Barrett Jackson would auction it? Seems like the price would be whatever the market will bear?

60,000 is my guess. I'm betting the reserve is much more...

Too cool!!
I emailed the link to a buddy. I suggested he buy it to house his ray-gun collection in. I offered to go with him to tow it back to Ark.

I'll guess $45-$50K on the Geographic and that is a 3rd of what he had it advertised on his website for a few months ago. I've owned three standard production Holiday House's. There were four to possibly eleven Geographics built. My goal is to find the second known survivor.

This is JMHO but I think the "1938" M-System is a total fraud. I'm 90% sure it's the same one that was on CL a year ago and it already had the same cheap diner floor then. I don't have proof but I've studied many brands and I believe this coach to be late 1940's. To quote another well known restorer..

"Insulting to every trailer restorer and enthusiast who took the time to research their project, find or make the right parts, and buy and use the correct hardware."

Agreed..

No, I think it's ugly too - but that wasn't the question. )

If this thing goes for $60K I can think of a lot of things I'd rather spend my money on than this... like a really nice used AS and TV.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it is a rare jewel! I would like to have it to gaze upon and polish. Dream like. Wish it was mine!

r carl gets it. The buick wagon would be a excellent TV for the Holiday House. It would be cool to see them together.

The looks are different. But while some of the finned cars were cool, some just weren't, and the same with this travel trailer. It is cool. Price will be too high and I don't really think it's a useful vehicle. Someone wants to, go ahead, but it'd be better off in a museum, IMO.

The fit and interior finish work look fantastic.
