Historical question

What is the history of the red numerals formerly on AS trailers. Why did AS cease adding them? I may add some to my Classic so can someone advise the size and font? Thanks!

The red numbers are WBCCI member numbers.

These links will give you some historical perspective and information on the club.

Thanks for the response, Kevin.

I had assumed, erroneously, the red numerals had a relationship to the production or VIV # of the AS.

If you join WBCCI, which I recommend for a sundry of reasons, you can get the big red numbers. You may be able to select a specific number and if it is not already in use it will be yours!

If you have already been welcomed into the Forum then Welcome. You will find a wealth of information here with lots of folks with many years of Airstream ownership who provide real world solutions to some of the issues that can and do occur. Also, if you haven’t found the Classic 2016-present thread you can drill down from the Gray tap at the top (second tab over) to find thread related to you specific model. I’m new to all things Airstream since I have only own my Classic 18 months. I would be lost without this site.
