Here's one (motorhome)

This one along with another, sits right down the road from me. They never get driven--just sit there. Should have taken more pictures but did not this time sorry! Any ideas about it?

LOL! That's most likely the case. Love the shape of it though. It has so much potential.

There is life after transmission replacement. You can, after all, spend just as much money on tires and brakes on an old motorhome as the cost of the transmission.

Soon I will stop by there and take closer pictures and ask the man about it...I have an idea that it belongs to the owner of this place...and there's another one that has been moved in I will take some pictures today of them both.

Modern diesel swap, funky retro interior remodel, and a fresh paint job that isn't solid white (boring) and that thing would be awesome. Maybe even install a set of mirror polished Alcoa wheels.

You could really make something out of that. Has great potential IMHO

Here's some more pictures of THAT one- along with the recent one parked by it. I did notice thay are made by DODGE. I resized these pics - hoping they will not take up too much space... That sure is some Hitch on the back of that particular one (last picture on right)

Dodge MOHO

My parents owned one like that. Ours was a 1964 Dodge Motorhome, which predated the Dodge Travco. We used ours in the 1960s to travel all over the USA. It was fantastic! I loved our travels in it. Somebody needs to give it a new life. Travco had the slanted big window, while ours had the rectangular big window.

Travco's & A Homebuilt A/S motorhome pic

Here's a write-up of a TRAVCO restoration; some "unusual" candidates pictured early as one scrolls through, including an "Airstream motorhome"".

The Shaggy Story

And a really great '64 Dodge moho restoration write-up:

Myrtle

http://myrtleandme.blogspot.com/

The Frank/Dodge/Travco moho was a well-done and aerodynamic vehicle. Whether that early V8-318 Poly or a 12V Cummins re-power is the plant, it's quite capable for range on a gallon of fuel.

Here's one (moter home)

The first photo posted almost certainly is a Travco or its immediate predecessor. When I was in my early teens, my father worked for an automobile/RV dealer who held the franchise for Travco Motorhomes. I can vividly remember some of the larger Travcos that had the 440 c.i. Dodge V8 . . . . and some of the lavish interiors offered in the Travcos. I can remember one that was custom ordered for a customer with a crystal chandelier over the dinette table . . . . I can't imagine what it would have been like driving down the highway with that chandlier in the coach . . . .
