Curtis Wright progress update

The Curtis Wright is coming together nicely. I have finished the floor, insulation, wiring, copper propane lines, and riveting inside and out. I installed a bra using olympic rivets that covered dents in the front. I think it came out looking really nice. The nasty dent on the endcap came out pretty nicely after pushing it out from the inside with an old car jack. Perfect it is not but so much better than it was! I will have the inside skin prepped and ready for paint on Monday. Painting will be done next Saturday. All interior, cabinet, and kitchen parts have been removed and will be painted separately. I chose to install the windows front and back so that the inside window frames will be painted in place. I think they would get scratched up a bit if I installed the windows after painting. I will be masking them off carefully. I think, once painted, the fun will begin! Paint color will probably be an off white or beige. Here are a few pictures of what has been accomplished in the last month or so.

Hey John. I scrubbed the outside with Simple Green and a grey fine 3m Scotch pad. It leaves a pretty nice looking satin finish. There are some deeper scratches that I haven't gotten out yet. I don't know if I can but I'll try later. I haven't finished the scrubbing yet. I just started and have only finished about a half of one side. I just wanted to see what the result would look like and I think it will turn out looking good. I hear Murphy's oil soap is good for a final scrub. Window installation this weekend. Hey John, what did you use to seal your windows? How did you install them? Chris

The last set I did on erics I put vent seal tape in-between the aluminum trim and plexi I was extremely happy with it and it is sealed. The pain is lining up all the old holes and drilling through all three pieces. It is going to take you about a day and a half good luck call me if you need anything. I got the tape from american rv supplies?? The brand is camco I have used others but this was the tackiest and widest I have used. see you. John
