Clever Craft

I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this travel trailer. The man we got our 72 Overlander from has a 1947 Clever Craft. It is aluminum and has a teardrop shape. It has a kitchen, a full size bed, and some storage space. No toilet! He said we could have it if we build him a shed. He uses the trailer as storage. Was just wondering if it would be worth it. He wants a
12x12 shed out of rough lumber. He said it had one leak that he fixed and one of the windows is cracked. Other than that it looks in good shape. It is about 14' in length. It has all wood panels on the inside from what I could see, Believe me, he has it stuffed full! He said him and his wife use to take it camping all the time. Anyway, any info would be appreciated. I couldnt find anything about Clever Craft on the net.

That looks remarkably similar to one at the Shady Dell in Bisbee, AZ. Small, cute little trailer thta I had a hard time standing or even sitting in.

It's adorable!

I was at the Supernationals car show in Albuquerque and they had a number of old trailers including an Airstream. There's a company in Albuquerque that specializes in restoring the little canned hams and they had several in the show. The ones at the show were really cool and very nicely done. They were selling them for about $12k. Here's their web address.

The one in the pic looks very much like this one in their portfolio
