Barth trailer construction question re floors

Hi all.

I live resonably close to where Barth Travel Trailers were made before the company was sold and converted to a MH company. Every now and again I see a Barth trailer pop up for sale, but often not particularly close by.

I'm still on my hunt for a 24 foot or shorter trailer and was wondering how the floor on the Barth trailers might be attached. If it is like the Airstreams/Argosys where the floor is an integral part of the frame, I'd just as soon go with an AS or Argy. But if the floor is not part of the frame, and is more readily pulled out and repaired while keeping the integrity of the trailer, then I will make an effort to take a peek or two. I'll assume that just about any pre 1970's trailer will have at least some rotten floor to address. the question for me is how difficult will the repair be? Currently looking for a Streamline, Silver Streak or Avion, but have yet to find one that was priced right for the condition. thinking of adding Barth to the list, but am very curious about the floor before taking a peek.

thanks for any insights.

What is your price range and/or age of an Avion would you be looking for?

Avions are tricky as they changes suspension around 1966 or 67 I think. Those with the "newer" suspension, were heavier i believe. I need a lighter unit as I would be pulling with a V8 loaded with gear. I would consider an Avion made before the switch to the newer suspension, but if the 24 foot, I would want two axles. Really would prefer something in the 20-22 foot range though with solid bones but could use some refreshing rather than a frame off restoration.

Whatcha got?
