I just purchased a 1957 20 Foot Avion Rambler serial number "708" which means this trailer is a Series "7" 20 ft Avion "Rambler" and is the 8th "Rambler" trailer produced. The trailer is in EXCEPTIONAL condition with an almost perfect exterior as far as aluminum condition and rivets. It still has the original vinyl covering on the door piano hinge!

The trailer has the rear double bed configuration with the original unique marine convertible sink/toilet, original Davis stove/refrigerator combination, lighting, heater, sink, cabinets and more. It has had a modern A/C unit added along with an awning.

I am told by Chuck Cayo of the Cayo family who build Avion trailers that this trailer could be the second oldest "Known" Avion trailer to still exist. This trailer was owned for almost 60 years by the original purchasing family so I am told.

Definitely have some work to do such as "nice period wheels/tires" however it should be fun.

I like the small campers and this Avion to "me" is about as good as it gets!

Detailed pictures to come later.

Nice!

Mike,

Nice trailer! I'd love to have one about that size to supplement my 34X.

I think you need a bigger truck though

See ya on the road,

I love my 1961 Avion! They can be polished up until 1963 I believe.....which reminds me, I need to polish all day today. The warm days are getting more rare here in Wisconsin. Here is a picture from Gold Beach, Oregon near the ocean. Cheers!!
