Denise , yes I think that's where my leak is , in the glass channel. I'm going to trim it back to the frame and caulk to see if that will work. Would rather not remove windows if i don't have to.
BTW , while yours is gutted seperate some of the 12v into different curcuits , they seem to be all on one, also the 110v.

Another area to check for leaks is the rivet flange where it meets the top or eyebrow of the lower (moveable) window frame.
It's not that evident (at least to me) but the fixed glass and moveable glass frames are two separate windows, not all one piece as they appear.

on edit:
They have to be removed together, the top window has a groove in it's bottom frame that slides onto a tongue on the lower window eyebrow.

Good tip on the wiring, thanks.

Denise , have a wiring question for you. Was there a dedicated wire to the AC from the 12v panel ? how many breakers did yours have ?

Bob

There was a dedicated wire for the A/C but that came from the 120v 2 circuit panel located lower left rear where the shore power wire came in.
My 12v panel was located at the forward enclosure for the fresh water tank.
Something to keep in mind with the A/C location is that it will be a head banger getting in and out of bed if one is not carefull. I'll be adding additional ribs and locating mine toward the rear of the camper abt. 3 ft from the door.
One other thing, Dennis=masculine, Denise=feminine

Here's a man with a -10 and an -11 for sale. One is mounted on a truck and the other on a utility trailer. Choose one, he writes:

Avion C10 on f25o, Avion C 11 on trailer

Anyone have a "wet" weight for one of these; you know, the truck solo and the truck with a loaded camper numbers from a scale and deducing the number sought. I supposedly have a payload weight of 2,570-lbs empty (not really, that's the book number and truck weighs more than book number).

Am wondering what one of these is like with an SRW truck, properly outfitted. Have read around some on the subject, but can't remember the number for an Avion/Cayo.

i don't suppose it's still for sale?

Here's two dumb Q's:
1) can someone who is 6 ft tall stand up in one of these?
2) can you stow stuff in the truck bed, under the camper, is it even accessible?

We have one of these getting worked on in our shop. I can tell you a 6 footer can stand up in one, but has to be careful where they place their head.
You can put small items in the bed next to the sides, between the wheelwell and side of the bed, there's even an access hatch for that purpose.

I see that it has the Avion logo on the back but I suspect that it's actually a later Cayo. Don't think the Avions ever had a window on the side in the cabover . The floor plan is quite different also with the rear dinette. The tailights look to be aftermarket . It does seem to be in great condition. It has been on ebay in the past. The price seems very reasonable consiidering it includes the truck.

I'm going to take a wag here and say the cabover windows were an option.
Silveravion shows a 69 C11 without c.o. windows yet my 69 C11 has the c.o. windows.
The interior is different than any I've seen so far and it appears to have an extended cabover, north-south sleeping instead of the typical east-west.

Man I'd like one of those, but I detest long-boxes. Do they make one that will fit a 6' box.

Dennis , you may be right , it could be a custom , the rear door appears different also with the lower fixed glass. I saw one on ebay this last year and it was refered to as an Ultra which looked like it had an extended cab over. Might have been the same one , it even had the red strip on the side.

Is yours a Cayo or Avion?
