Anyone know what this is?

Drove by this today. I’m pretty sure it’s not an airstream and I’m wondering if anyone knows what this is. I would like to do a little bit of research before I inquire. Thanks for your help!

Could be a Spartan Manor.

It looks very similar to a trailer Vintage Campers has for sale with a street side door and round windows in the door. The horizontal trim appears similar also.

The front doesn't slope like all the Spartans I have seen.

Yup, first thought, looks "like" a Spartan, second thought, but the lines aren't quite right. I agree with the sloped front comment, for Spartans.

There were quite a few other manufactures around that time that didn't last very long. I think it would take actually stopping to read whatever labels are on it to find what it actually is.

Please let us know, and show the inside of you get to see it.

Similar to a Spartan, but I believe this is an M-Systems rig.

I also think it is an M Systems, not a Spartan. But there were so many copycats back then, and low volume producers, you won’t know until you look at it. Hopefully some of the badging is still there.

Thanks everyone. Next time through I will knock on some doors. I am anxious to see about it. From the information you guys have provided it sure looks like and M systems trailer. It’s been sitting in a field for many years in western Nebraska. I never really took note of it until I purchased a 1956 Safari last month. I will post here at five find out anything more about it. Thanks again

Oh, this is so funny. I've got a picture almost exactly like that one, of the same trailer that I took a couple of years ago while I was running around in Western Nebraska.

OK I found it

OK I found it. After some running around and knocking on doors I got permission to go and take pictures although the owner of the trailer and field is dead. It turns out this was made by Victor coach industries. Does anyone have any information on this company? It looks like the bottom was rotting out but looking in the windows things looked pretty good. A good break up of a long boring drive back from Omaha. Great story about someone finding the same trailer and taking a picture!. Pretty cool since this is pretty out-of-the-way.

Interesting! If you look closely, the plaque actually says "Victor Coach Industries Inc." and a search for this reveals:

https://www.google.com/search?ei=dcO....0.7hHIZe5H0tk

. . . which appears to have been in business from 1948 to 1970.

There is an ad in The Billboard from 1950:

https://books.google.com/books?id=f0...inc%22&f=false

. . . and the ad mentions various lengths, and an electrical generator!

No previous mentions of the company on airforums.com apparently.

Interesting find, thanks for the photos!

Hey all.

I was thinking, could this be a lost horizon? Minus the front windows. Has the right look
