Pretty cool! Is it yours or are you thinking of buying it? Post more pics if/when you can ~ without some sort of tag, model # or name - it's bought to say. There were lots of trailers that looked similar in the late-30's-early 50's. It could be any number of of them...maybe you can find a clue here:

Just saw it on side of the road near Maggie Valley, NC.
I'll try to get more pics.

It's not that Vagabond model. The Vagabond has a pretty-much vertical front exterior, and the various windows have different heights.

Sorry that I have nothing constructive to offer on what it actually might be.

The biggest defining feature I see is the really curvy/round high wheel wells - not many trailers have those. It's hard to tell which way is "front" (with tongue) on the OP photo. I am assuming "left" is front.

How about a '39 Vagabond Sixteen? Looks pretty close to this ad...

The middle window looks like it may have been added at some point - it doesn't match the others and the ad only shows two windows on the street side. But then the two other windows look like they are a bronze frame...so who knows!?

Regardless, the poor baby looks like it needs some TLC

In looking for more pics...I found this (pretty outdated, but still informative) which talks about the smaller Vagabonds (even a 14-footer) of the mid-late 30's...sounds like not many were made, if this is what it is.

Several makes of the late 30's looked nearly identical but I'd say that's a 1936-1937 Pierce Arrow Travelodge. Quite a find.

I think the original picture got flipped when it got uploaded. The side seen is the road side. No door. The image may also have been reversed since it looks like this a rear quarter view. I see what looks like a tail light when I enlarge it. The wheel placement looks too far back to make it a front quarter view.

I disagree. I think what you're interpreting as a taillight is actually vegetation, and when zoomed in I see what looks like the tongue. The placement of the wheels would be more toward the rear than the front, no? The side seen is indeed the road side, and the trailer is pointed toward the left side of the frame.

also llook at the building behind the trailer; a tv would not fit between the two. I would say that the tongue is to the left

I guess only the original poster, who took the picture, can tell us the complete story. I would think if the wheels were that far back, the tongue weight would be high. If it is a 3/4 rear view we are seeing, it does appear there is some rise in the overhang to allow more ground clearance.

Click on the photo, then click on it again so it opens at full resolution in its own tab or window. On the side of the trailer that's to the right (facing the shed) you can see the rear bumper. On the side to the left of the frame, if you zoom in, you can see something gray that appears to be a coupler, about the same height as the wheel hubs.
