Another Travelux owner
Hi all,
As a Travelux fan and new owner of one of these fine units, I have been combing the internet for info and surprisingly, most of what I found was from this Airstream board.
So, I thought I should introduce myself. I'm a boy of 57 with almost no camping experience but always admired the gleam of fine streamlined aluminum trailers. Now I have one that promises more or less amusement just fixing it up. If that pleasure palls I may even go camping in it.
What I have found out so far was mostly from this board. But I do have the original owner's manual and it confirms that the Travelux was "influenced" by Avion more than Airstream. I say this because the design is so Avion like, and also because the manual recommends seeking out Avion dealers for service in the US.
So thank you for all your help and good cheer.

As yet no pix and I live in the stix. So, dial up is the only thing I can get even though I live within 80 miles of one of Canada's biggest cities. Apparently Bell Canada doesn't think this Interweb thing is going to catch on.
Here are some pix I found that I don't think have been seen here before.

If I can, I will get some pictures. Is there a particular place to post them or way of putting them up that works best here?

There are a couple of different ways to post pictures which you can learn about here:
Post 'em when you can...we're always interested in member's "babies"

I don't think it will either.

Back on Fathers day we drove through Port Colborne here on Southern Ontario. There was a Travelux for sale by the road near the 1st bridge over the Welland Canal. It was long. About 30'.

Mine is a 25 foot Princess and it came from Golden Beach Resort on Rice Lake.
The one you saw was probably a 29 foot President Elite or a 31 foot President.
They seem to turn up regularly for such a low production trailer.
Do you know how much they wanted for it and what kind of shape it was in?

Sorry, No more info on the Travelux. We were on our way to the Tim Hortons Lake to Lake bike race and were on a schedule. If I get back that way in the near future I will see if it is still there.

There was a 21' unit for sale in Hope, BC recently. I believe they were asking $1,000.00 for it and it needed work but can't remember the details but here's the advertisement if you are interested.
Vintage Trailer - showing Monday
