As far as I know, Bowlus went out of business about 80 years ago, so who's going to bring a law suit??

Also, John Long literally wrote the book "Bowlus Trailers, The Origin of the Species", and probably knows as much about the originals as anyone alive. He did a magnificent restoration job on his own original vintage Road Chief. I would imagine that he knows what he's getting into.

Beautiful!

Between this and the UK version, here's hoping the healthy competition raises everyone's game a notch or two!!

This is the most beautiful silver trailer Iíve ever seen. Maybe the most beautiful thereís ever been.

Somebody should think of uniting this thread with this one:

OMG!!!!!! I want that very, very much. I do not have $100k though.

Where in the heck is Airstream? Making a 2800 lb max weight trailer with fabulous furnishings should be what they're doing. Think of a slightly bigger Basecamp that wasn't messed up to be a toy hauler.

absolutely gorgeous. read the blog, they have what sounds like an awesome euro heating system. I'd like to know what they are doing for a/c. truck A/c?

LOVE the laptop charging station and flexi-bed thing (twin / King convertible. )

They purchased the name, it seems. No lawsuits; 100% legitimate.

Very, very beautiful work. They even set up to accommodate financing. wish i had the $$ for it..

A retro recreation of rolling art. As such, extreemly expensive, and certainly not for the masses. Small market, steep price, exclusive club. Oh and dont get rear ended .

Just beautiful.

It's the price, direct from manufacturer. No options unless you want custom finishes.

I'm wondering if one could restore a vintage AS and come close to the weight and amenities. Like the Euro heating system, the aluminum kitchen, and the beds that make a king. Except for the price, it's pretty much our perfect trailer. it can even be stored in a regular garage, with no AC on the roof and a removable tongue.

no one mentioned the aluminum frame! they did it! can't wait to hear how that holds up. sooo much debate over that one ... i guess that contributes to the weight.. or lack there of.
