Gave up on the Red 'n White idea. None to be found with out ordering, 2 weeks with hefty shipping and then it was not what we had in mind. Found these at Home Depot, kinda retro looking. Need to keep moving to get it done.

Nice subtle tile. That is more along the lines of what we would do if we were redoing another rig.

Thanks, the pic does not really do justice to it. We thought Bright would be kinda cool, but feared the idea would get "old" and then we'd be thinking, "What did we put that down for!" I'll get a better pic to show the colors better.

To save space and room we are thinking of going with a Propane Gas
TANKLESS WATER HEATER

http://stores.gonetankless.com/-strse-6/10L-LPG-Propane-Gas/Detail.bok

Looks like it ca be plumbed into a small space and meet the water needs.

With Shipping it was a little over $250. Originally Rosie did not have a water heater, so no cut out to work with. I wanted to avoid making a large cut out, it would have broken up the rub rail. Now I need to find a home for it. If I position it right, I can use the exhaust vent for a towel warmer

Hey, like the shower/ toilet combo.... what source did you use?

I was wondering about the tankless heater... I wonder how cold the water is around here in the winter... @ 40 degrees, the outlet flow would have to be 1 gpm to warm it to 105 degrees - if I'm reading the chart right. How fast do our water pumps flow, 2gpm?

Would that work for showers in the cold? I like the unit! It seems compact and perfect for RV use otherwise.

Found the shower unit at:
RV Surplus
It came in in 4 days! Only $159 + Shipping to boot!

You think your water is that cold? Typically it comes from a well around 50º - 55º, But yes the flow would be that, your pump should put out up to 2 GPM, I would imagine that the shower head would restrict it to much less than that tho.
Hot water heater should be here Monday

I guess even 50 degrees feels cold!! You're right... the ground is an excellent heater... I forgot about the shower restrictor valve... I think I may go this route as well. Seems even easier to winterise!

99% of the floor is down. Need another pair of hands to finish. About a dozen pieces left to place, all the edges.

Placed the shower assembly inside, the Frame threw me a curve so I have to move it of cute a 3" + home through in 2 places. One is bad enought...

Update
Floor is 100% done! Frame bolts in and tightened. Whew, made it before the next big storm with the help of the wife! As mentioned, I upgraded to 5/16 - 18 Stainless. Had to use "fender washers" in a couple spots the original floor was delaminated just a touch. Now I must do something with the wheel wells to get them water tight. After that, all that skirting that was removed must be replaced. That ought to be fun..

Furnace on order. Atwood Hydro Flame 7916 16,000 BTU. (eBay) I have this in my '74 Overlander, works great!

Potty on order. (eBay) Thetford Aqua Magic V RV Trailer Toilet w/ Hand Flush.

Rebuilding one of the original vents. Glass Bead blasted the metal and painted with POR White coat.

This may actually start to look like something soon!

Wink Where are you really?

You're pulling our collective leg, right? You're not outside in New Hampshire doing a full monty on a '46 Spartan now. You're in Texas or San Diego, right?

Can you tell me what the holding tank size is in gallons? Also what are you planning on using for the walls of the bath enclosure? I have to add a bath to the 54 and this just might be the way to go!
thanks

Just about 10 gallons. Looks like a pretty good unit. It will be a bit odd having a wet bath.. Have not had one yet!

We saw some acrylic wall board at Lowes the other day. Going to use that for the walls. Might use similar on the ceiling as well.

Thank you for sharing your sources and all the great ideas. We are getting ready to work on our 65 Ambassador and I was delighted to find the water heater- we are going all electric do to our needs but this company's prices are way better than anything I have seen so far. Thank you!!!!

Nice work!

Any insights on products/techniques you used to clean it up? I have an old vent cover that could use similar treatment!
