Here's some photos from two weeks before we took it out on it's first road trip. Still half the paint to strip off, cabinet frame work to finish and more! And two of the paint finally off and the trim back on. Lighting was next.

I'll have to get some current interior photos taken. I guess in the buzz of it all I forgot to take some before we packed up for the trip.

Here are some of the Tlux finally hooked up to our 1981 Suburban (which has a new engine and tranny, just to help make those trips worry free).

Some of you that have Travelux campers will notice I changed the colour in the maple leaf and the logos to red to match the trim which I change from blue as well.

I've had some time in the evenings to get some more interior work done.
I started on the doors for the upper cabinets. I wanted to keep with the black, white and silver so I decided on black Lexan sliding doors. I cut the tracks out of hardwood and fitted the first set of doors in the cabinet above the sink, (it's a little hard to see because of them being black).

I had planned for a divider between the upper and lower cabinets on the curb side for a little more privacy in the bedroom. I cut a 1/4" piece of clear Lexan to fit, then applied a decorative film before installing.

When replacing the original fiberglass end caps with aluminum I ran a 12v line to center over the window, not really sure what I was going to do with it at that time. Last week I came up with a piece that would serve three purposes, a shelf, a valance for the window shade or curtain and lighting with LED strips. Built out of hardwood, aluminum and Lexan and it fits right in. Im so pleased with it a second one is being made for the roadside window to tie in the front area.

I picked up a cool aluminum 50's Pepsi cooler that will feel right at home in the Travelux.
