1970 Avion Ultra on CL central wi

The couple I bought my 59 Rover from has this 1970 Ulta for sale. They were very nice to deal with. I have been in the trailer and it seemed pretty solid but i did not do a full on inspection.

I went to look at an Avion in the dells a few years back before I found my AS, the popularity of AS and the knowledge base of this forum is what kept me looking for an AS instead. The avion I saw had very good craftsmanship and also had reliefs of what I swear were JFK's head on the front cabinets ( a JFK commemorative edition ? ) those reliefs have had me second guessing my pass on that Avion ever since. Cool trailers, well built, and they somehow managed to pull off spray foam that lasted 40+ years (saw it with my own eyes) a feat no AS has ever been capable of to this day. Warm and Aluminum, mmmmmm They are anodized though so no shiny

I think the whole spray foam degrading thing in a trailer is a myth. Anyone who has used it knows it should last in an Airstream.

I wish there wasn't such an aversion to foam on this forum, foam could insulate our TTs so much better this far north. That being said I went with a more "acceptable" bubble foil and flexible sheet foam hybrid to stay "warm" figuring if I foamed my trailer it would be a tough sell to others someday down the road even if it is a more expensive and effective solution, sometimes going against the "flow" can be a costly venture. Like the greatest intellectual of modern times, G. Dubya, said " if you're not with us you're against us " insightful words indeed.
