1968 Silver Streak Clipper Deluxe

We are from Australia and have just purchased the above trailer to be shipped to us in the next few weeks. We've done a lot of searching for info, brochures and parts hoping to find them before the trailer is shipped. I'm hoping that someone on here might have some info on what we're looking for or some options.

We have the trailer with the sectional dinette option but the sectional chairs are missing. I can't find anything close so wonder if any readers have some ideas? Here is the brochure that shows the pics:

We would also like to get hold of an awning to fit and Zip Dee haven't been able to help us. The awning poles are shaped to fit the shape of the trailer with the awning sitting above the door.

Would really appreciate any help, advice, info that you guys might have. We are novices in this field as Australia didn't have an airstream/silverstreak type trailer back in the day.

For the sectional dinette, try Colaw RV salvage in Carthage, Missouri. I was at Colaws this past weekend and they had 2 salvage dinettes available. I would think most salvage dinettes could be made to work with a little modification.

We found the sectional dinette benches on Craigslist and had the most difficult transaction we've ever had with an overseas purchase. After buying no less than 26 cars from the states previously nothing prepared us for the small-minded paranoia we encountered trying to pay for this item. The man didn't do Paypal, wouldn't take a wire transfer, western union or cashiers check. The deal fell through and we had to get a friend from Cali to buy it on our behalf. She had nearly as much trouble paying for it.

With shipping (which he refused to assist with...even dropping it 3 mins drive from his house) it will owe us nearly $1000. And thats before it even leaves the States.

The price of restoring a van to its originality is expensive but hopefully totally worthwhile.
