I have this trailer, too!
I also have this same trailer...same green booth, too! I'm mid-way thru restoration and I appreciate all the info I'm finding here. I'm looking for someone to polish her up (I'm in Napa, CA). Any info would be appreciated. I'm kind of a mechanical lame-o so it's rough going! By the way, we had a party when we got her and 50 people chose her name, Blanche Babcock (thus my screenname). My name's Kelly. First post...looking forward to connecting w/my fellow trailer freaks!

Wow! And wow! Very nice.
The next trailer of ours will be a Royal Spartanette or Royal Mansion. The curved dinette in them is the best.

To build a roof or not for my new 51 Royal Spartanette
Just purchased a 51 Royal Spartanette, which has been in dry and warm Eastern Washington for the last 30 years. Now I'm moving her to the Mt. Baker region where it gets more rain and a lot of snow in the winter. I see your beautiful spot on the lake gets snow. Any advice on how much to worry about leaks?

Beautiful job on the trailer, but as mechanically disinclined as I am, it is hard for me to put "The interior was in pretty good shape" in the same sentence as "needed new floor, wiring, plumbing, propane, and some windows were cracked". Yikes! Gorgeous, though!

Definetly build a roof over it.

We haven't had a problem with leaks from the snow... Our ceiling vents are in desperate need of repairs, and we only have them covered on top outside. Once in a while during a heavy rain we'll get a little drip from one vent near the back. We have all the replacement vents and plan to install this year. We can't have a roof built over our place due to the high winds off the lake.
