1948 Curtis Wright HELP!

Hello Everyone, We need some help on our latest find. We have a 1948 Curtis-Wright model 2, the interior has been gutted and we sure could use some pictures or any information or leads to information on this cool trailer. We also own a 1964 Tradewinds that we are currently restoring. We are in N/W Kansas and have several others in the hobby close by.
Thanks again for this site and all of your help.

there was a Curtis Clipper for sale just recently. It had been totally customized and looked nothing like it might have originally. Does any of the interior exist?

Hi Bill & Connie:

There is not really much out on the web about Curtis Wright trailers, especially the Model 2. Cliff Uyeda sporadically maintains a Wiki site that is probably the best starting point:

curtis_wright [DokuWiki]

I've never seen good photos of an original Model 2 interior, so you will have to investigate your trailer to see where appliances and cabinets might have been located to recreate the interior layout. Or design a new layout that fits your needs. Good luck in your search!

In the book "silver palaces", by Douglas Keister, on pages 98/99, their are exterior/interior pictures of a 1947 Curtis Wright 22'. They made trailers in 16,22,27.and 31', I think, maybe, that the 22' is a model 2. If I won the lottery, I would Like to have a reproduction of a CW, they are so cool looking, real class.
