1947 Spartan...Belly pan?
I was just looking at a 1947 Spartan that had banana wraps, but no belly pan extending past the main frame rails. The owner said that it was always like this since he has owned it. The frame didn't have holes in it like there should have been aluminum there.
Anyone out there with a Spartan that can confirm no belly pan between the main frame rails?

Maybe??
The 47 Curtis had that area open. It was only the two sections ..front and rear of the axle. A floor furnace was able to be mounted there. ( I closed mine in with a pan.)

This is a restored model that is listed for sale. Just didn't know if the pan was supposed to be missing or not. Everything underneath was undercoated to protect against water penetration as well. Steel looks pretty good in my opinion.

Hi Steve, I own 3 Spartan trailers (1-1946, 2-1948's) and none of them came with a belly pan.

Uh, Steve, didn't you just sell your trailer because you couldn't find time for a project? What's up?

Hey, a guy can still look, right? If he wants to torture himself, that's his business.

Marc,
We are in the market for either a restored vintage unit like this Spartan, or a newer unit. Something that we can use right now as opposed to spending the free time I have working on it (very little I might add!).
We can wait, but would like to have something for next summer when I move to TX for 3 months to be with Amy and Collin.

Ha! I 'm one to talk. Even my 11 y.o. tells me "no more projects till you finish that Airstream!" when I'm trolling Craigslist! Got more pics? I like those old Spartans.
