Work will be limited again this year, I just can't manage to stay home, and when I am home I need to take care of things around the house that went wrong when I was gone.

How well I know your circumstance! The current work that I'm doing on my trailer was deferred for several years because the events of daily life prohibited me from taking on such a huge project. Now that I'm retired, I'm finally getting around to this and many other deferred projects.
My best to you Kip! You're an inspiration to all of us!

If you need more inspiration really try to attend this outstanding rally. Kip will certainly vouch for it.

It's a great rally as I have been to every one, giving out small little tips on how to do metal working, riviting etc. I will not be able to make it this year do to my traveling. I also just found out that I have an inch and a half tear in my Lt shoulder rotater cuff and go under the knife 3 April, sling for 6 weeks and no weight for 3 months. I don't know how this will affect my Flight Engineering duties yet. For now going back to Abottsford BC Sunday for 3 weeks as the Herc is going through heavy check. I hate getting old

The only good thing about getting old is that it beats the alternative

Awww that sucks, but maybe you'll be on medical leave and go to the resto rally for fun!! And those were no little tips and tricks..... Says grasshopper to the master....
Seriously, you rocked the last rally and will be missed, I'm still trying to go but the change in dates messed with my plans....

Kip! I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. We'll all be thinking of you in 3 April and beyond.

Kip,
I'm also sorry to hear about your shoulder. Although getting older does beat some of the alternatives, it still isn't for the faint of heart. Now that I'm almost 64, I realize in hindsight that I should have bought the extended warrenty (for me) back when I was eligable! Maybe I was never eligable!
All my best,
Steve

Anybody but an enthusiast south of you. Your parts are more nifty, however. Some of us have to use a 2x4 for a brake...
Regardless, I second Top's remark. I will also get back at it as soon as I get the house dried in!

Fit Check
I did the final fit check, and it fit like a glove. My brother is coming over in the morning and we will shoot it on. Shoulder is doing fine but it was starting to get sore after shooting the sub-assembly together. I want to get these fans in as I am going to Guam on the 11th.
Whats the correct sealant to use on the PVC, I'm not sure that my tank sealant will stick to it. Gasket or no gasket?

Awesome, Kip.
I don't/wouldn't use the foam gasket. I use 3M 540 polyurethane sealant.

Can you gt it at the home centers or is it only available at an industrial supply. I didn't think the gasket was a good idea. They only cause leaks.

I have never seen it at the big box stores. If you need something ASAP, Lowe's carries 3M 5200, but only in white. With your nice flange, you could make that work without too much of the white sealant showing. I buy 3M 540 in gray by the case from the 3M store. Fastenal usually stocks it at its hub locations. Grainger may have it in stock in the big city too.

Hey Aerowood,
I've always followed your threads and admire your work. I hope this isn't a dumb question, but what is the reason for your framing design of the FF install?
Thanks
