Here is another clue to my post #882. A famous fault line runs through the area and this image of it is from there.

In that case, I say it is the International space station. Do they have yellow flowers and sand hill cranes on the ISS.

The problem I am having is that there is a whole bunch of National Wildlife Refuges up and down the length of California where Sand Hill Cranes winter or visit. Unfortunately the cranes apparently aren't there the same time as the yellow flowers

Ken

P.S. Is it the Coyote Ridge Trail?

At Great Sand Dunes the sand is grey. Never heard of the Kelso Dunes. These sand dunes are white. You don't have to think so hard.

What color was Washington's white horse?

Who is buried in Grant's tomb? (Actually no one)

Anyone have a picture of the fat cottonwood that Alamogordo is named for?

This is not a photo gone wrong. The specks are supposed to be there. What is this? Hint: there may be more than one location like this. Click image for larger version

Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, NM? Specks like this are popular with new agers who refer to them as "spirit orbs". In any event looks like a salt mine somewhere.
