OK, here's another lighthouse. Where is it, and what's it's name. It is again in the North part of the US, and Bruce you're disqualified because you know!

This shouldn't be too hard for someone who has been here. Many may have driven past on a US highway not realizing what was only a half mile walk from a little turnout on the side of the road. Any takers on what it's called and where it's located?

#806: Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado, just south of Page, AZ. Most phoots of it are taken a little closer to the edge...

Good-morning Z! Right on the mark... Let's say that camera angle was to slightly obfuscate the scene, but honestly I'm surprised that I got that close to the edge. It is reported that the drop to the Colorado is about 1000' at this point. For those who haven't been or want to mark their map for the next time they visit Page, plug these coordinates into Google Earth: 36.879056, -111.510238. About 1.5 miles south of the intersection of US 89 and AZ 98 there is a turnoff on the west side of US 89 marked with a brown sign. There is a small parking lot and a path about 1/2 mile long that leads to Horseshoe Bend. The most difficult aspect of the path is that much of it is sand.

This is one of many that "litter" the landscape. Some are nearly as big as a 2-bedroom house and provide a shady spot to enjoy the view under the mid day sun. I'm sure someone will recognize the spot instantly. What do that call this area?

Today's hint on #801....this is on the shore of a lake, which by the definition of the word "lake", has two names.

We have another winner. About 75 miles south of Page on US 89A is the turnoff at Marble Canyon to Lee's Ferry and the location of a campground. Lee's Ferry is thought of as the beginning of the Grand Canyon. These rocks are located just a couple of miles from the Marble Canyon junction. Technically they are erosion remnants. They may have broken loose from the bluffs above and settled on the softer sandstone. Over the eons, the rock protected the softer material directly below from rain, but runoff and wind worked to carve out a column that these rocks now perch on. In time, the column will reduce to the point where it can no longer support the boulder and the process will begin again, one grain of sand at a time.

Time for one that might be more of a challenge (I hope). There are a few clues in the picture that should narrow down its location. What's the name of the body of water?

You are quite correct. I was in Utah for business, finished up and was wandering around and found it.
