I don't think it's an issue either, and to be honest, I had not totally read and understood the rules of the thread either. Thank you Massey Farm for re-posting them.
But please consider my explanation in #693 for my first comment, "I mean we could fill literally the whole bandwidth of this forum's capacity with pictures we find on the internet. While it would be interesting to see the pictures, overall it might not be such a good thing."

Read the entry here under uses:
Picea sitchensis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is used for many specialized purposes and was the primary aircraft structural wood until Aluminum became widely available.
Don't feel bad about the thread. To me the primary purpose was to learn something and have fun at the same time.

I'm not going to go back and calculate this, but I have a pretty good idea, that the pictures posted from the internet are of lower resolution and therefore smaller file size than those taken by a modern camera. Yes a user can reduce the size to upload them, but I don't know how many do. I know that I do not. My feeling is that the purpose here is two fold, amusement and education. I don't feel I'm qualified or have the authority to be concerned about the forums storage capabilities. I would hope that if it is a problem, someone who has the knowledge and authority, will tell us about it.

Rules evolve over time, and soon we have so many 'RULES' it takes the fun out of it.
In the spirit of entertainment, and the chance memories of past excursions will be refreshed, I believe that the quiz should consist of pictures, (preferably taken by you or your family) of areas that you have visited and enjoyed.
The intent of this thread is to promote travel to all the fantastic areas of North America that the freedom of an RV allows, to refresh memories of places you may have passed through, and to acquaint others with places they may wish to visit in the future.
Pictures posted from the internet, vs your computer, will generally disappear (because of copywrite issues) so for the interest of those that may be reading this at a later date, it is best to post site links to add detail to quiz solutions if you don't have more of your own pictures.
I have enjoyed every post in this thread to date. ( it being winter and having more time to enjoy). However, I suspect once the good weather arrives, the interest will fail until the travel season is once again over.
OK ------- Carry on!
Dave

Here's one...
This is located in the West obviously. We are looking for the specific location FROM which the photo was taken.

Well, at least my sanity is restored. I couldn't imagine that I took a picture in nearly the same location as you did (based upon the picture you posted) and didn't see the tree in question Whew!

One more...
This one may be a little more difficult for most, but it's in the west.

I'm guessing you are somewhere near Colter Bay, Pelican Bay, or maybe a little north on Jackson Lake, Wyoming. If not it sure looks a lot like it.

Further West Ken. The nearest town is a man's first name.

The Sawtooth Range from Redfish Lake south of Stanley ID.
It looks like it was taken near the campground

If you go up to Stanley, turn left and follow highway 21, you will pass my sisters house about 10 miles before coming out of the mountains south of Boise.

Here's another from the Sawtooth. West of Stanley is a valley with some history going back to an early conservationist who preserved this area. His name was "Big John" and the area is named after him but sounds somewhat more romantic. You drive down the river a few miles and there is a private campground with a cabin built by this guy. There is also a hot spring fed swimming pool, a horse livery, and hot springs a short distance away in the river. There is also a forest service campground at the end of the road. What is the name of this area?

Grandjean it is!. There are also some cabins along with the campground which is called Sawtooth Lodge. There is water and electricity at the campground, but the electricity is from a generator and there is not enough juice to run your AC. If you are looking for an off the beaten track spot not to far from Boise this is it.

We needed resupply. Where did we go to experience this attractive downtown setting?
