I think I'll just tell y'all because the odds of anyone from the forum having been there is really remote.

It's on a turn out on top of Engineer Pass North East of Silverton. Yes, it's a 4WD road, or more like a trail, 12,300 ft. if I remember correctly.

If you Google "best preserved ghost town Colorado" you get a bunch of links to St Elmo. See post 120. I'm sure that is subjective and I imagine other places may claim that also.

Yea, I guess so. I'm just going by what the locals told us and the literature said, but I guess they could be exaggerating. I will add that it is a mining ghost town, and on another 4WD road.
