Yay! This pic was taken from the trail above Paradise and it's down there near the road. The place where the people are standing is called Panorama Point, and the mountain range across the valley is called the Tatoosh Range. This was one of the most scenic hikes I have ever done and we were lucky to do it on a day when it wasn't in a cloud.

Been too long since a post here, so here's one y'all should get in an instant. It's West of the Mississippi, I'm sure.

Yea, that's it. Actually, if I remember, it was taken from a highway turn-out as we did no hiking.

This is a fun thread, but I'm running out of pictures of places we've been that aren't a dead give away.

I didn't even have to look this one up.

It's Bandon Lighthouse in Bandon, OR

It was taken from the other side of the harbor entrance (Coquille River) .

To carrying on with the lighthouse theme:

Here are two lighthouses. They are both USCG authorized private lighthouses. They were constructed by a PNW author.

What are their names?
Where are they located?
Who built them? (or perhaps had them built)

The last one was probably tough. This should be easier.

This was constructed by the CCC and was used by the military in WWII.
It can be reached by driving or hiking. We've done both. There is a campground nearby.

Hint:
The darker blue in the background is the Pacific Ocean. The lighter blue is the sky.
