Over the eons, the creek has carved a narrow gorge of sorts draining the Basin and if one is not comfortable with heights as I am, it is a little unnerving if you take the trail to the very end. It is a spectacular view, but the end is a sheer drop off with no railing. Most of the time the water is little more than a trickle, but after a thunderstorm you don't want to be in that gorge and from the road below, the waterfall can also be spectacular.

While we are in Big Bend country. The local cemeteries are typical to the Southwest. Some of the gravesites are done very individually and creatively. Can anyone identify where this one is?

Yeah, Terlingua. The grave markers of the local people are often simple and homemade from stone, concrete, or wood. The graves are often decorated with items memorializing the person's life.

Here's one from my hometown, Estancia NM. which is exactly the opposite. The graves of three thieves and murderers from the last legal hanging in NM in 1921. The graves are spartan and stuck in the furthest corner of the cemetery.

Yes, It's the National Museum of the USAF. They have roughly 360 aircraft in buildings covering 17 acres and a 4th 200,000+ sqft building is in the works. We took a trip east this past summer and needed to have some work done at Jackson Center. From there we went to Dayton and started the tour 1st thing the next day. It really deserves more than 1 day to fully take it in.

I'm going to take a wild stab at this one: It's the Alamo.

Well, see there? It was a wild stab.

Even so, the thickness of those walls does suggest either an older military installation (protection against, e.g., cannon fire) or an older, somewhat primitive building style in which material strength (i.e., weakness) vs. height is made up with wall thickness.
