I think Big Bend National Park is a good bet. Maybe Elena Canyon?

You are partially right, it is in Big Bend National Park, but not Santa Elena Canyon. There is a name for this particular view.

The view is from the Chisos Basin. It's very famous view, what's it's name.

Bingo, you got it. The view is out of the Chisos basin, which is in the Chisos mountains, which are the main group of mountains in the park, and the view is also the water drain out of the basin. I can't remember the specs on the view such as how far you can see, but it is a long way out over the desert, and looks to the West.

Here's a couple of more pictures of the mountains.
