OK, another hint, it's the best preserved of these in the state of Colorado.

If you Google "best preserved ghost town Colorado" you get a bunch of links to St Elmo. See post 120. I'm sure that is subjective and I imagine other places may claim that also.

Yea, I guess so. I'm just going by what the locals told us and the literature said, but I guess they could be exaggerating. I will add that it is a mining ghost town, and on another 4WD road.

A further search leads me to believe your picture is of Animas Forks.

No, not even the right county, so here's a couple of more clues....it's in Henson County, and was a silver mining area.

New one

The first photo below is a mountain in a national park.
The second is a view from the same location looking the opposite direction.

1 point for naming the national park
2 points for naming the mountain.
3 points each for naming the two slightly lower mountains that are clustered with the highest.
5 points for a naming the location the pictures taken from. It is a geographic location that has a name.
