Polarlyse: I stopped in that small town on my way to Yellowstone, I think the population was 65 or so people, and is on the main street (almost the only street) across from the gas station.

Photo more straight on is mine, with trees, the other is yours from your post.

New one.
South of the 49th, and we are travelling west on a major tollway highway. Not too far west from 'the NUT house'.

Sorry about the quality of the photos. It was a dull day.

Dave,

Lock 8 on the Erie Canal. Northwest of Schenectady, NY an old stomping ground years ago.

Total length is 338 miles and going west bound you gain about 550 feet through the 34 locks of the system. Start north of Albany, NY and get 'dumped' out in the Niagra River downstream of Niagra Falls.

Did you get the 'nut' hint? Just to the east in the MOHAWK Valley.

Now you have me Ken. I have seen that Buffalo on I 25 but I was thinking the coyote was on I 80. I can't exactly pinpoint it at the moment.
Can anyone else confirm this?
Here is the Buffalo.

Hey Dennis. Yes that was quite an interesting little town. We had lunch right across the street. Good hamburgers. It was on our trip from Glacier NP heading towards Yellowstone summer '12.

Great photo's, Keep 'um coming

Hint: The most appropriate vehicle to be at this establishment on a major US highway is a 1962 Corvette

Well,

I will defer to your memory. I was thinking it was near that Buffalo. . Now I'm not sure at all. I know I have seen it, but where?

Must be Route 66, and the Corvette representing the TV show of the same name.

Route 66 is right, but the answer is the name and location of the establishment.

HInt: If it is not a teepee it may be a blank

Fraser Valley,
Patos, Saturna, Mayne, Galiano, I think, (sure would like to see Haida Gwaii again, and Langara to)
Boeing 737 most likely
Abbotsford International

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
Jim Flower is today's grand-prize winner; he gets all the airline pretzels he can eat, since he is so fond of them.

Fraser Valley:
The Fraser Valley is the verdant agricultural belt that extends from the outskirts of Vancouver's eastern suburbs to Hope. Urban foodies call it the city's "Chef's Garden." The valley produces strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, produce, dairy products, mushrooms, and poultry. In the last ten years, the Langley area has become noted for its cottage wineries. Langley is also known as the horse capital of B.C. Many equestrian-related disciplines are rooted there.

Some farms have embraced agri-tourism, and have opened stores featuring highly-specialized products like gourmet cheese, fancy preserves, etc. The epitome of this would have to be Langley's Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery. They have taken country-glam to the max!
Krause Berry Farms

Fort Langley is also worth an over-night. They have a great RV park too....
Fort Camping in Fort Langley, BC, Brae Island Regional Park
Parks Canada - Fort Langley National Historic Site - Fort Langley National Historic Site of Canada

Patos, Saturna, Mayne, Galiano:
Part of B.C.'s Gulf Island chain. The Southern Islands are in the U.S. and are called the San Juan Islands. The islands are quaint and beautiful, but the RV ferry rates are high, and the line-ups may be long in the summer. I don't think many of them even have RV parks, as the islands are home to a lot of old hippies/greenies. An RV park would qualify as a NIMBY.
I would recommend parking at the RV park in S. Delta, unhooking, then taking the tow vehicle to Mayne Island.

Boeing 737:
Actually, a Boeing 737-700 NG. NG means "Next Generation."
Boeing 737 Next Generation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abbotsford International:
My favourite airport because it is small and reminds me of the way airports used to be.....when DC-3s ruled the sky! You can still grab an old-fashioned cup of coffee and plunk yourself down in front of a big window and watch the planes land and take off.....every two hours or so. They only time they have more than 100 people there at any given time is during the airshow, or when His Holiness visited in 1984!
