You got it! By the way, I've never seen scorpions this far north in Utah.

Google scorpion range or something similar. You will be surprised where some of the smaller species are and we apparently seldom see them.

You are right, of course. I've seen plenty in southern Utah but just never as far north as Salt Lake City. But I know they are around. I just have to remember to shake out my backpacking boots each morning! And this is the only "scorpion warning sign" I've seen in Utah.

The person under the shelter in the picture is looking, through field glasses, at two air force blimps (can't see them in the picture) tethered off to the north over the Hill Field bombing range.

New Season

Get your 2014 photos ready for the NEW 2014 season of "Where Is This?" starting November 1st on this channel!

Stay tuned.

Just for a primer, I came across this on the net and will post it for your enjoyment. We have been in this area in 2011, visited the rock sculptures, but did not take this route.

Where Is This?

OK : Lets start a new season of photos to show where we have been on our travels.

These photos should be taken by you or your family, of your adventures around this continent. However, if you have photos of special interest, they will be OK too?

Now, I have had a major setback this year and have not been able to travel, so I am depending on this AIR community to show me everything that I have missed over this last travel season.

Always give a hint as to where the photo was taken, and you may give additional hints, and detail over the next 5 days. If not pinpointed in 5 days, then please give the location with as much detail as possible for everyones entertainment. (the original rules were 7 days before disclosure, but that proved to be a bit long to wait?)

Just to prime the system, this is a shot from Heather's Last Tour in 2013 of one of our overnight stops.

Location is in the northern STATES.

You are correct, post #1422, to an easy start to season II.

That Bad River used to be a real good stop but the last couple times we have been there we have experienced less than complete satisfaction.
They do have water and power available for the RV crowd. The dump has not been available when we stopped there on two occasions in 2013.

Thanks for the hint in that photo. I have never been there but it is now on my must list if ever in that area again. I had worked for, and had been a contractor for SHELL for 20 years to 1990 and still have a lot of good memories of that era.
