A couple of shots from a memorable, late autumn renegade get-together at our favorite secret state park...

At least two anyway...
VMGR-152 supplied my first pair. Still have those frames, won't hold len's anymore. Been special order for quite some time now, hate me at the optician's...never buy new frames.

A couple of shots from our trip to the coast last weekend.
First is the elephant seals up near San Simeon.
The second was a sunset view from the RV park.

Le Petit Palais as a canvas

Texas moths are BIG! We found this one at Padre Is Nat'l Seashore in Nov 09.

Nights at Usery Park, Mesa, AZ, when clear and with a moon, are great. This was just after new years.

Forum Caravan

This is so great, it's like Airstream National Geographic and Time Life rolled into one.

Bill that is a good idea putting your grandbaby in as your avatar. They do grow so fast, don't they? She's a cutie, that's for sure.

Big Sur is calling to me. I need to be there...California of Bust. I need to make tracks. Janet hold my seat, I'm coming...

Autumn renegade now that is a combination I could really get behind whole souled. Secret park and beautiful overlook it just can't lose. Thanks for posting. I am so jealous!

ASwifefy I have never seen seals outside of a circus or zoo and that sky scape is awesome. You have captured some beautiful scenery and expanded our horizons from wherever we call home.

I have heard of the Padre National Seashore, we truly must get South West and see these amazing sights. Mesa is another destination on my list.

I don't know about you but this forum caravan is is the most interesting and affordable travel I have had. Please keep your posts coming. I think we are all enjoying the various contributions and highlights of places and time and people.

Parking?

Hi, sometimes you just have watch where you are parking.

You may need to click on the pictures to enlarge them, unless you have better eyes than me.

(1.) I had to back up a few feet from where I originally parked. I got out of my Lincoln and noticed the parking signs. My trailer was in a 2 hour zone and my tow vehicle was in a 15 minute zone.

(2.) We were planning on a few overnight stays in Wal-Mart parking lots and this is what we saw at both of the Wal-marts we stopped at.

(3.) At the Balloon Fiesta, a stork was going to stop on top of our trailer; We let the stork know he obviously had the wrong residence.

(4.) We made it to South Dakota in October; This campground has over 100 spaces and we were the only people there. Did the other campers know something that we didn't? Snow, ice, and zero degrees outside. Or were we just more adventurous?

There are some really nice photos here. Keep 'em coming. I'll try to sort through mine and see if there is anything that I haven't posted on the forums before.

Funny stuff Bob! I like the flamingo too. In the February BB in Shu's News there was a blurb about flamingos. "Although plastic was brought into industrial use in 1909...it was not until the end of WWll that the modern miracle substance was used in a wide variety of consumer goods, among them speedboats, dentures and flamingos. Previously flamingos were made of cement. Before that flamingos were made by other flamingos."

Here is your link. I enjoyed your interior pictures of the 53 Clipper alot. Sure is decorated cool!
