Vintage near Batesville, MS?

..well, I got my "vintage AS photo" project off the ground by shooting a gorgeous Overlander on the Gulfport beach owned by Rick Foley:

..and there are many more lovely shots like this, as we had a perfect sunset and clear sky to shoot..

(I'm sending you some of these AS SOON AS I finish this post, Rick!..)

...for my next trailer I'm hoping there might be a vintage owner in the Batesville, Mississippi area who would want to receive a beautiful set of professionally produced photos of their rig in exchange for allowing me to shoot it and ask them to tell me their Airstream stories...

...my band is booked to play the Batesville Springfest on May 15 and if WORK doesn't keep smashing all my Airstream Dreams I'm gonna haul the Safari up there and hang out for a few days....(I deserve it ;-)

Rick,
I have a 68 Trade Wind in Oxford. It is "in process". Putting the new vinyl floor in this weekend. Certainly not polished, but if you need any photos of what it takes to restore an A/S or a good story on how I found it let me know via PM.

Great photos, Rick! We have been through Batesville a couple of times, there is a really good restaurant there, as I recall. Love Gulfport, Biloxi, etc., as well.

Travel safe,

Maggie

..thanks, Maggie!...do you recall the name of that restaurant in Batesville?

..we burn a lot of calories blasting out the Yat Rock at these fests...plus we New Orleanians are totally spoiled for good food.....seems like I can't hitch up the trailer without a container of jambalaya in the freezer though...

..Rick, did the download go OK?...let me know if you prefer prints..I can do that...

..and Bruce, I'd like to hear any and all vintage stories, plus in-process pix are also part of the project..if time permits I'll pm you before I leave...

thanks yall!

I don't recall the name of the restaurant, but it is on the main drag and serves homemade potato chips in addition to lots of good, Southern specialties. We've been there a couple of times. You could ask a local and I'll bet they can direct you there.
