Hey, thanks! That was taken along Hwy 93 in Kootenay National Park, BC. Just for fun, here's my favorite shot from the trip (Airstream not included!)....

So I'm new around here. I gather I need to 1) pick a contest theme; 2) start a new thread for it; 3) watch your awesome photos roll in; and 4) choose a winner for October? Is there an archive of past themes somewhere? I'd hate to repeat....

I'm loving seeing all y'all's pictures!!

Excellent choice for the winner... Congrats Paisley! I wondered when you posted it if that might be our winner.

Great pictures!

Two years ago we were at Glacier National park and I regret we did not take the time to go up into Canada. Was your winning picture a campsite, or just a pull off? How about the last picture with your dog? What were your favorite campsites on that trip?

Not really an archive or official list of all the past topics, but you can find all the old Photo Contest threads in the Airstream Community Forums > Airstream Lifestyle > Photograpy Forum... Or search "Contest" in the Photography Forum.

This contest has been going on monthly since Feb 2006 with lots of great photos & topics over the years...lots of topics worth repeating if you can't come up with something new!

Have fun!

Shari

Thanks, guys! How fun. I browsed through the last year or so of contests before I chose a theme, so if it's a repeat at least it's not too recent.

That winning photo was actually just a random spot on Hwy 93 - not a pullout, though that particular stretch did have a really wide shoulder. As for the misty mountain shot with Tucker (my dog), that was at Lake Agnes, a short hike above Lake Louise.

Mostly we stayed at (nice but not noteworthy) Provincial Parks, but we did spend two nights at the Lake Louise campground. It was my least favorite campsite, just because it was so dang crowded (neighboring RV less than 6 feet away). BUT, it did afford access to some incredible spots. I'd like to go back and camp in Yoho and/or Jasper, for similar scenery but smaller crowds. I *love* that dogs are allowed in most Canadian national parks - thanks, Canada!
