I have no idea how I got the moon to move in this shot but I thought it was kind of cool.

Glad I'm Not The Judge....

There are some mighty photographs posted here so far. Really like 34, 38, and 40.

Glad I'm not judging this one..........

Airstream Rally in Europe?? Is there a Rally Report online anywhere? I would love to read about it. Good to see our friends across the Pond share in the wonderful affliction of aluminitus.

My new goal is to attend a Europe based Airstream Rally.

Way to go!!!

We've had two rallies in the UK this year and the numbers attending are growing. There are well over 100 Airstreams in the UK - maybe 200 but they are not all club types. There is a bit of a gap between vintage and new airstreams but it will gradually fill when the new European ones start changing hands and new models appear. For a report go to the organizers' blog at <http://www.ukairstreamers.blogspot.com/>. The easiest place to go to be amongst Airstreamers in Europe is the Belrepayre Trailer Park near Toulouse in the South of France. A stunning location in the foothills of the Pyrenees surrounded by medieval towns and villages. They have a large gathering/festival on the first weekend in August each year. Visit <http://www.airstreameurope.com/>.
Hope some of you can make it soon. You can rent an Airstream at Belrepayre!!

Folks,

The photos coming in this month are incredible. Keep on posting.

I need to close this month's contest and pick a winner a little early. Submissions will be accepted through midnight on Monday the 28th and I'll announce a winner on Tuesday the 29th. Then I'm off to New England for fall colors.

Finalists

Here are this month's finalists in no particular order.

A. BlackRubi's Firedancer. I don't really know what I'm looking at, but I like it.

B. DanB's Palm Tree. There's just something about a 15 foot palm tree.

C. FreshAir's Moonrise. The horizon reflected in the skin of the Airstream with the glow of the windows is awesome.

D. ITsIT's Candle glow. Who wouldn't want to sit out in that type of environment sipping vodka?

Decisions, decisions.

And the winner is...

I polled the folks in my office to help me pick a winner. Everyone liked the mystery of BlackRubi's fire dancer. The rope light leads the eye straight to the red white and blue dancer. There were lots of theories about how the flame and the halo surrounding the dancer were accomplished. The awning lights reflecting as streaks or color in the aluminum was the icing on the cake.

So BlackRubi, if you can help us out with a little description of the photo... inquiring minds want to know.

Congratulations. It was a great contest.

Nice Choice Steve.

I loved the Moonrise by Fresh air, but this one was my second fave with all the colors.

Congrats Black Rubi!

Wow. Kinda speechless.

Thank you all for finding this photo interesting enough to even consider - truly, truly unexpected.

There were so many shots taken/posted that are so well done - would not have wanted to be the one to judge them all!
FreshAir's Moonrise/Sunset was certainly among my personal favorites too - I think it's the juxtaposition captured that was so compelling.

For inquiring minds...

The Firedancer; Follows us everywhere - difficult to explain...

The Halo and Flame; Are extracts from the colors reflecting in the aluminum (a dispersion and a brush stroke respectively).

Thanks again to all for a month a fabulous photos! And thanks again for the nod on this one...

All the best!

Being the winner of September makes you the judge for October...so what's the theme going to be???
