2005 Safari remodel.
Hi, long story, short; I have been remodeling our trailer's living room so I have posted two before pictures, and two after pictures. The Gaucho is planned for matching seat covers at a later date. More details and pictures on my blog. Click on Blog Entries: under my avatar.
Picture #1. Shows Credenza and Fold Out Table on street side.
Picture #2. Shows Guacho with arm rests in front end of trailer.
Picture #3. Shows Gaucho relocated to the street side of trailer.
Picture #4. Shows New Credenza with relocated Fold Out Table in front of trailer and New Love Seat on curb side between the New Credenza and trailer door.

Really nice job! Someday, hopefully soon, I'll be able to get mine to look similar.
Think you could have got a larger TV above that bed?

Wally,
Stella's beautiful!
We have a '61 Bambi too. We also have the vintage abaca and melamine glasses and aluminum cake "taker". We use the shelf above the front gaucho to display some of our vintage black Grainware pieces. We just have "as found" images of Sweetpea III at the moment but hope to post some images of her gussied up soon.
Nice job restoring her. That naugahyde is amazing.
Thanks for sharing!

A bit different.
We took everything out in the end and played around for too long. When we had the old stuff stripped, we loved the space and shape and decided not to put back overhead lockers or vertical lines which conflict with the curvy forms. Colors had to be from the 60s and 70s.

This is the interior of my 1972 Argosy 22
I still need to retrofit the old refrigerator panel onto the new fridge. Will do this weekend.

This is all so inspiring!
My Bambi is still in it's 2007 CCD "blue streak" glory, but I've been thinking of changing it. I love the orange interior to the cabinets, but not so taken with the bright blue. I changed the bedding to a sort of hawaiian theme in yellows and pinks from Target, but that's all I've done.
I have learned to HATE the dinette. I only ever eat by myself, so it's not like I need the extra space. If I did, 90% of the camp spots out there have tables anyway. Nearly all the time I'm camping by myself, so the dinette is a total waste of space.
I love the couches that many of you have put in the front of your units. I'd love to do that with my 19' Bambi -- is that realistic? Where have you all had that done?
I'd have to devise some sort of pop up table in some way for when I did want to cook. That table space becomes critical when cooking or doing any sort of other project. Any ideas, gang??

I would say most are original couches that came with that trailer. Many do convert from couch to dinette which would not be my preferance.
I have not seen any of the newer 16' or 19' models with the couch/pull out bed layout. As they say in Maine, Odd, ain't it?
The fifties and early sixties came with fold out tables includes in the closets. Handy because one can use them outside also.
Towards 64' on Airstream made built in collapsable dining tables. One I saw in a 67' Globetrotter was an engineering marvel.
Here is a photo of the original Wally folding table (I added the aluminum edging as the old plastic was broken....and to match other work in the trailer.

Hayley,
The grill is on is a roll-up aluminum table from Camping World. Have used it inside also, stores pretty compactly in it's own bag.

New Couch
Please forgive the mess and "messy Molly" (she would not move out for pictures). This is the direction we are going with our 72, 31 ft sov. The groovy pillows will be the same fabric as the three (that is right THREE) beds in the bedroom and maybe new red curtains for the bathroom. As soon as I finish re-hanging the hinged storage locker thing on the street side under the overhead storage area I will install the new red "sideboards" on the two lower beds and figure out how to make one for the bunk. I wish I had more pictures to share but I have been pulled every direction this weekend and the camera got the short end of the attention. I hope you all had a productive weekend as I. Oh I almost forgot the makeover on the light was a $5.00 can of Fusion. (The wife did not think it would work, HA!) Later... Mike

Mike - I love the hanging lamp. My parent had the same one in their family room in 70s brown. Nice make-over painting it white. Molly is a perfect addition to your photos
